How ClimaFlora combines climate and soil
The engine evaluates climate and edaphic constraints separately before combining them in an interpretable compatibility view. Good soil must not hide a clearly unsuitable climate.
The idea at a glance
Site profile
ClimaFlora builds a climate profile for the selected coordinates and horizon, then retrieves or receives a soil profile. The provenance of each source remains visible.
Taxon envelope
Site conditions are compared with documented climate and soil envelopes for each taxon. Missing evidence is not silently treated as confirmed compatibility.
How constraints are combined
Major constraints
Strong physical conflicts remain visible. A favourable component does not mechanically cancel a clearly incompatible one.
Useful interactions
Water availability, drainage, texture and heat can interact. These relationships refine interpretation without removing climate or soil safeguards.
Interpretable output
The result should show why a taxon appears promising or risky: climate, soil, missing data, threshold proximity and confidence remain inspectable.
